libfile-basedir-perl software package provides Perl module to use the freedesktop basedir specification, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfile-basedir-perl
libfile-basedir-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfile-basedir-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfile-basedir-perl *
You will get with libfile-basedir-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
